We entered into The Baked Beans State, ahem, actually The Bay State – Massachusetts last Sunday.  The Berkshires was spectualar area to hike.  I could imagine how grand it will be if we get to hike this area in the Fall with these leaf colors changing.  Anyhow, we took a zero day yesterday for me to take care of my personal errands and for Cane to get his stuff fixed and buy some equipment.  We enjoyed our meal at Barrington Brewery Restaurant in Great Barrington, MA.  What was even great was that our waiter, Priscilla, knew sign language since she was CODA (child of deaf adult – she had deaf mom and sister).  Yay!

Today, we hiked only 5 miles in downpouring weather. Ugh!  We were surprised with mosquitoes paying us a visit – biting and sucking us for our blood!  Rockpuncher warned us about that area, but we didn’t think these blood-thristing mosquitoes would be out and about in rainy day!  Gosh!  If you plan to hike in the state of MA, be prepared to be a unconsented blood donor!  We decided to halt our hiking to get ourselves out of miserable weather.  The weather forecast for rest of the week looks a bit better – less rainy days.  We hope the weather goddess will be good to us especially on our home stretch over Mount Greylock (tallest mountain in MA) toward Williamstown.  *crossing fingers*  We would like invite our friends, loved ones and supporters to come out this Sunday at Mount Greylock for downhill hiking (around 6 miles).  Please contact us via email under “Contact Us”.  Keep tuned, folks!
